Kris would need to reformat it back into a very basic game. It would be cool, but not really in Kris's best interest when there are already a couple very good iPod racing games to compete with after he rebuilds the entire game.
Also, with a game of this calibur, it eats of lots of memory. The iPod would crash after just seconds of racing. I would bet you couldn't even do a burnout without crashing, and if you skip the burnout, probably couldn't get a full run in. Even running a N64 emulator will crash the iPod after not too long. The ram just isn't quite there yet for a game much above basic.

I was thinkin just a basic version of 1/4mile.. just a race the computer thing. all the drag racing games ive downloaded on the ipod are kinda weak, i would pay a few bucks for 1/4mile on ipod sure many other's in the world would too. not a big deal but a good idea

You'd really be limited to just racing test and tune or doing single challenges at a time. You might not be able to send challenges to offline players, so racing only those online but this might be able to be worked around with some sort of limit to challenges. I couldn't see having more than a few cars. Also means we'd all have to start with new accounts basically cause it'd be a completely different game, which shouldn't be the end of the world but there was a large amount of yelling and moaning when people had to leave 1/4 and start fresh on EV, so ya never know.
"Real racing" is the best racing iPod game I've seen so far as far as game play and graphics. It also sells for about 9.99 last I checked and is very successful so this could be another source of revenue until someone cracks it and publishes it for free (or until someone like me gets a program to download free apps from the app store)
Only other issue is I'm not sure how it would work with the current server. I'm sure we wouldn't have hundreds of people on at a time, but i dk if it'd overload it any and lag ev with the extra things stored on there. I'm sure people would want leader boards and a scoring system, etc which takes up space and speed from EV. Plus having to keep track of it all changing so much.
Now, if the iPad turns out to be as fast as they claim, that could be a whole other possibility right there.
